Rooibos tea comes from a bush that grows in South Africa from which the tea is prepared. It is commonly prepared in the same manner as black tea, usually without or with a little milk, and/or sugar or honey. Other methods include a slice of lemon and using honey instead of sugar to sweeten. It is also served as espresso, lattes, cappuccinos or iced tea. Rooibos tea does not contain caffeine and has low tannin levels compared to black tea or green tea. Rooibos contains polyphenols.
