Properties: Tea from mint leaves is a very refreshing tea, quite popular and used in North African countries such as Morocco. It is known for its ability to calm the nervous system, reduce flatulence (gas and bloating), stimulates bile and is used to hydrate the body in conditions of diarrhea and gastrointestinal disturbances. Mint is rich in menthol and tannins. This tea can be enjoyed with a little ice, decorated with fresh mint leaves.
Preparation: One filter is recommended to be used for one cup of tea. Add freshly boiled water (100 ºC) to the cup, trying not to pour it on top of the filter, to avoid bloating it. Leave for 5-6 minutes and then consume, sweetening with honey or sugar as desired. It can be accompanied by a slice of lemon or orange.
