Curative Properties: The rustyback contains tannin, organic acids, etc. It possesses very good sedative properties, helps against coughs and respiratory tract irritations, promotes sweating and urination in patients who suffer from constant retention of urine. Rustyback helps in dissolving kidney stones. The Albanian people also call it the "Stone Breaker". It helps to destroy oxalates and removes oxalic acid from the body.

Preparation: Leave two teaspoons of the blend to boil for 30 minutes, in a container covered with a lid. Remove the pan from the heat and let it rest for 10 minutes. Strain and drink sweetened (with sugar or honey) if desired. The tea is consumed 2 times a day for 3-4 weeks.
