English Breakfast tea is a blend of different teas originating from Assam, Ceylon and Kenya. It is one of the most popular blended teas, widely used in British and Irish cultures. It is made from different types of Black Tea and is described as a full-flavored, rich and robust tea that goes well with milk and sugar in a style that goes with an English breakfast. Its origins are thought to date back to the 18th century and the blend's popularity was created by Queen Victoria. In 1892 she tried the tea at Balmoral in Scotland and returned to London with a quantity of this tea. After this event, the tea got the name English.

Preparation: One filter is recommended to be used for one cup of tea. Add freshly boiled water (100 ºC) to the cup, trying not to pour it on top of the filter, to avoid bloating it. Leave for 5-6 minutes and then consume, sweetening with honey or sugar as desired. It can be accompanied by a slice of lemon or orange.
