Thyme essential oil is distilled from the aerial parts of the common thyme (Thymus vulgaris). It has a medium note with a strong herb and spice aroma. The plant is used as incense and the name thymus comes from the ancient Greek, meaning bravery. Thyme essential oil is used in cleansing recipes, in external skin applications or in aromatherapy and combines well with eucalyptus, lavender or rosemary oil.
Warning! Never use undiluted, in the eyes or mucous membranes. Do not take for internal use except when recommended by a doctor or qualified expert. Keep away from children. Before using on the skin, test a small amount on the inner part of the forearm. If you have irritation, rinse the area immediately.
