Chaste essential oil is distilled from the fruits of the chaste tree (Vitex agnus castus). It has a medium aromatic note and is often used in massage oil blends for women because of its balancing qualities. Chaste is considered a plant that balances female hormones. It can be used in a diffuser or in external application. For external use, it must be dissolved in a carrier oil of no more than 1%. It contains Sabine, cineol, α-Pinene, β-Carophyllene, Limonene and has a floral aroma similar to dried berries. It combines well with lavender.
Warning! The oil may interact with some medications, may modulate reproductive hormones, may contain methyleugenol. It should never be used undiluted, in the eyes or mucous membranes. Do not take for internal use except when recommended by a doctor or qualified expert. Keep away from children.
Before using on the skin, test a small amount on the inner part of the forearm. If you have irritation, rinse the area immediately. If there is no irritation for 48 hours, it can be used safely on the skin.
